摘要 The present invention relates to a molecular weight controlled pitch for a battery anode material and a manufacturing method thereof. Specifically, provided is a molecular weight controlled pitch for a battery anode material which uses a petrochemical by-product as a precursor. The molecular weight controlled pitch for a battery anode material has a molecular weight of 300 to 900 Da of 45 to 60 wt% of the pitch and has a molecular weight of more than 900 to 1500 Da of 9 to 13 wt% of the pitch. According to the present invention, by quantitatively and qualitatively dividing a molecular weight distribution of the pitch, the anode material can show an excellent performance when applying the same to the battery anode material.
