PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish communication connection between appropriate apparatuses and perform radio power transmission according to the established communication connection.SOLUTION: A power transmission apparatus for performing radio power transmission with a power reception apparatus for transmitting, in response to power transmission from the power transmission apparatus, information for making a communication connection request be transmitted includes: power transmission means for performing first power transmission for making the information be transmitted and transmitting power by radio; and communication means that performs communication by using a communication method communicable in a communication range wider than a power transmission range for the first power transmission and transmits a communication connection request to a transmission source of the information before performing communication for radio power transmission by using communication connection established in response to the communication connection request. The power transmission apparatus performs a plurality of times of the first power transmission by using the power transmission means; and transmits, by using the communication means, a communication connection request to a power reception apparatus that is a transmission source of the information received a plurality of times at timing corresponding to each of the plurality of times of the first power transmission. |
