PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an odor transfer inhibitor which alleviates or eliminates quality deterioration of foods and drinks due to odor transfer while suppressing transfer of bad smell, for example, musty odor, and a food and drink and a cosmetic which use the inhibitor and retain their original flavor without influence of bad smell.SOLUTION: A polyhydric alcohol-based food additive emulsifier is obtained by esterifying a polyhydric alcohol, such as glycerol or polyglycerol, with a fatty acid, and an odor transfer inhibitor contains the emulsifier. A food and drink and a cosmetic suppressed effectively in transfer of bad smell by addition of the odor transfer inhibitor are also provided. |
