The invention relates to a valve device (6) for a domestic appliance (1), having a shut-off element (27) for controlling a flow of a fluid in a line (5) of the domestic appliance (1), a drive element (20) for moving the shut-off element (27) from an open position, in which the line (5) is open, to a closed position, in which the line (5) is shut off by the shut-off element (27), depending on a current flow (I) through the drive element (20), wherein the drive element (20) is electrically coupled to a DC voltage source (12), having at least one switching element (22), which is electrically coupled to the drive element (20), for controlling the current flow (I) through the drive element (20), and having a control device (25) for driving the at least one switching element (22), wherein the control device (25) is designed to output a sequence of drive pulses (30) to the at least one switching element (22) for the purpose of controlling the current flow (I) through the drive element (20), wherein the valve device (6) has means for detecting an actual voltage value (V) of a DC voltage (VZK) which is provided by the DC voltage source (12), and the control device (25) is designed to set a pulse length (w) of the drive pulses (30) depending on the actual voltage value (V), and wherein the control device (25) is designed to provide a predetermined pull-in current (IA) for moving the shut-off element (27) from the closed position to the open position, and to set the pulse length (w) of the drive pulses (30) for providing the pull-in current (IA) depending on the actual voltage value (V). |
