PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause, in a pseudo manner, jamming of currency in a currency processing apparatus.SOLUTION: A currency processing apparatus includes a storage part, a conveyance path, a conveyance mechanism, detection means, first stopping means, and second stopping means. The storage part stores currency. The conveyance path links a currency deposit port and the storage part or a currency discharge port and the storage part. The conveyance mechanism conveys the currency along the conveyance path. The detection means detects jamming of the currency in the conveyance path. The first stopping means stops the conveyance mechanism in response to detection of the jamming of the currency by the detection means while the conveyance mechanism conveys the currency. The second stopping means stops the conveyance mechanism in a state in which the detection means does not detect the jamming of the currency while the conveyance mechanism conveys the currency. |
