PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable valve device for an internal combustion engine that prevents a changeover pin and a side wall of a recessed shape part of a cam carrier from wearing away and prevents the changeover pin and cam carrier from deteriorating in durability.SOLUTION: In a movable valve device 2, a cam changeover part 5 has a guide groove 43 which is formed on an outer peripheral surface of a cam carrier 4 and has a first changeover cam 43A and a second changeover cam 43B opposed in the axial direction of a cam shaft 3 so as to vary in width in the axial direction of the cam shaft 3, and a tip part 51b which is inserted into the guide groove 43, and includes a changeover pin 51 which freely moves in the axial direction of the cam shaft 3. Consequently, the need to insert and extract the changeover pin 51 into and from the guide groove 43 is eliminated, and the changeover pin 51, and the first changeover cam 43A and second changeover cam 43B can be prevented from wearing away. |
