[Class 35.] The armature 3 of a rotating magnet-type flywheel magneto is formed of E-shaped laminations, the coil 5 being disposed on the centre core 4, and the outer laminations 8 are bent axially to form pole shoes extending substantially across the width of the flywheel 10. The end sheets 8 are of thicker material than the remaining laminations 7 and the inner surfaces of the bent over flaps 9 form a continuation of the armature pole surface.</p> |
