1. A golf club head comprising:
a body portion having a toe portion, a heel portion, a top portion, a sole portion, and a face portion to engage a golf ball; a plurality of grooves formed on the face portion and extending lengthwise between the toe portion and the heel portion, the plurality of grooves being substantially parallel to each other with each of the plurality of grooves having a groove width and a groove depth; a plurality of first markings formed on the face portion and extending lengthwise between the toe portion and the heel portion, each of the plurality of first markings having a first marking width and a first marking depth; and a plurality of second markings formed on the face portion and extending lengthwise between the top portion and the sole portion, each of the plurality of second markings having a second marking width and a second marking depth, wherein the plurality of second markings intersect with at least one of the plurality of grooves and at least one of the plurality of first markings, wherein the groove width is greater than each of the first and second marking widths, and wherein the groove depth is greater than each of the first and second marking depths. |
