<p>The present invention relates to a method for transferring and installing an application across portable terminals for easily installing an application that has been installed in an existing portable terminal into a new portable terminal when the new portable terminal is purchased. A transfer device extracts identification information on an application, which has been installed in a first portable terminal, from the first portable terminal. The first portable terminal is connected to the transfer device for data transfer so as to provide data communication. The transfer device downloads a file for the application from an application market on the Web on the basis of identification information, or extracts link information providing an access path through which the application is downloaded from the application market. The transfer device transmits a file of the application to a second portable terminal in order to install same in the second portable terminal, or transmits the link information to the second portable terminal and stores same in the second portable terminal.</p> |
