PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a barium titanate particle with high purity using poor-soluble barium oxalate or barium sulfate as the starting substance of Ba(II) and using poor-soluble titanium dioxide as the starting substance of Ti(IV).SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing a barium titanate particle, containing: a step of preparing an aqueous suspension including barium oxalate or barium sulfate, titanium dioxide and sodium hydroxide; and a step of heating the aqueous suspension at 75°C or higher. The heating temperature of the aqueous suspension is preferably 90°C or higher. |
