METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REPAIRING PNEUMATIC TIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for repairing a pneumatic tire, in each of which a repair necessary range thereof can be repaired with high dimensional accuracy while suppressing thermal deterioration of the pneumatic tire.SOLUTION: The method for repairing the pneumatic tire comprises the steps of: disposing an expandable/reducible, metallic rigid inner die 2 on the inside of the pneumatic tire T having the repair necessary range M on the external surface thereof; abutting the rigid inner die 2 on the inside surface thereof in a range corresponding to the repair necessary range M; covering the repair necessary range M with a metal die 10 for repairing tires; injecting unvulcanized rubber R into a cavity 11 of the metal die 10 for repairing tires; and vulcanizing the injected unvulcanized rubber R so that a repaired/regenerated part F is formed on the external surface of the pneumatic tire and the regenerated part F is integrated with the external surface of the pneumatic tire.
