PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching apparatus provided with step-up/down circuits reducing power consumption and improving step-up capability and step-down capability.SOLUTION: A switching apparatus according to the embodiment is provided with an oscillation circuit outputting an oscillation signal. A step-up circuit inputs the oscillation signal and a first reference voltage and outputs a first set voltage. A step-down circuit inputs the oscillation signal and a second reference voltage and outputs a second set voltage. An auxiliary transformation section inputs the oscillation signal and the first reference voltage and outputs the first set voltage, or inputs the oscillation signal and the second reference voltage and outputs the second set voltage. The auxiliary transformation section is activated when the first reference voltage is stepped up to the first set voltage or the second reference voltage is stepped down to the second set voltage. Further, the auxiliary transformation section is stopped when an output voltage from the step-up circuit is maintained as the first set voltage or an output voltage from the step-down circuit is maintained as the second set voltage. A switching circuit inputs the first and second set voltages and performs switching operation. |
