1. An immobilization apparatus comprising:
(a) a base with a first side and a second side; (b) a locking mechanism having a first part and a second part that releasably engages the first part; (c) a first strap having:
(i) a fixed segment affixed to the first side of the base and engaged with the locking mechanism first part;(ii) a free segment engaged with the locking mechanism first part, wherein the free segment folds back over the fixed segment of the first strap; and(iii) at least one fastener means to releasably secure at least a portion of the fixed segment of the first strap to at least a portion of the free segment of the first strap; (d) a second strap having:
(i) a fixed segment affixed to the second side of the base and secured to the locking mechanism second part;(ii) a free segment secured to the locking mechanism second part, wherein the free segment folds back over the fixed segment of the second strap; and(iii) at least one fastener means to releasably secure at least a portion of the fixed segment of the second strap to at least a portion of the free segment of the second strap.
