The present invention relates to a navigation device using learning information and a method thereof. The navigation device using the learning information according to the present invention comprises: a driving route storage unit to store a driving route; a learning information production unit to produce a learning information database based on the repetitive pattern of a driving route element by analyzing the driving route; the learning information database which is produced by the learning information production unit and is stored; a learning information searching unit to search a route according to destination information based on the learning information database; and a control unit to select the optimum route among search routes by guide information which is stored in advance or the learning information. According to the present invention above, provided is customized navigation information by using the learning information according to the driving route of a driver. Moreover, driver convenience can be increased since the driving route is guided by using the learning information.
