PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vent mechanism reducing a hydraulic dynamic load applied to nuclear reactor main body foundations at the time of occurrence of a loss-of-coolant accident or the like.SOLUTION: A vent mechanism 20 includes: vertical vent pipes 22 having opening portions at top ends and on lower lateral surfaces and transporting high-pressure fluid generated above to a cooling pool 14 provided below; at least one horizontal vent pipe 23 extending in a horizontal direction, having a root portion connected to the vertical vent pipes 22 so as to communicate with the opening portions of the lower lateral surfaces of the vertical vent pipes 22 and having an end portion of an opposite side to the root portion opened to the cooling pool 14; and a propagation suppression member provided so as to spread in a vertical direction to an axial direction of the horizontal vent pipe 23 at an outer peripheral portion of the horizontal vent pipe 23 in the cooling pool 14. |
