PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amorphous transformer that can prevent an amorphous wound iron core from being broken even when a coil is short-circuited, and is configured to be light in weight.SOLUTION: An amorphous transformer comprises: an amorphous would iron core 10 formed by winding a laminated amorphous magnetic thin band, lapping both the ends of the amorphous magnetic thin band to form lap portions 11a, 12a, molding a square cylinder with the lap portions 11a, 12a set as one sides of the square cylinder, setting the lam portions 11a, 12a and one sides confronting the lap portions 11a, 12a as yoke portions 11b, 12b, and setting the other confronting two sides as quadrangular prism type core portions 11c, 12c (10c) of the square cylinder; a core part protection frame having an angle steel trunk portion covering each of the four corner portions of the quadrangular prism type core portions 10c, and hook-shaped flange portions provided to both the ends of the trunk portion; joint plates 31, 32, 33 for joining and fixing the flange portions; and a low-voltage coil and a high-voltage coil which are mounted on the core part protection frame. |
