a) providing superabsorbent polymer particles having a first mass average particle size; b) mixing the superabsorbent polymer particles with a solution comprising water and a multi-valent salt having a valence of three or higher; wherein the agglomerated superabsorbent polymer particles have a second average particle size which is at least 25% greater than the first mass average particle size. |
