A ball joint that is not easily affected by fluctuations in the ambient temperature, and with which it is possible to stabilize the torque value for rocking the ball stud with respect to the holder. This ball joint is equipped with: a ball stud (1) having a ball part (10) on one end of a shaft member (11); and a synthetic resin holder (2) that accommodates the ball part in a rotatable manner, and that has an opening (30) through which the shaft member protrudes. The holder (2) is equipped with a first member (20), which has a concave, spherical first ball sliding contact surface (24) conforming to the spherical surface of the ball part, and a second member (3), which has a concave, spherical second ball sliding contact surface (31) conforming to the spherical surface of the ball part, and has the opening (30) in the center of the second ball sliding contact surface. Furthermore, the first member (20) and the second member (3) are provided respectively with bonding surfaces (25, 32) that are affixed to each other by welding, and fixed reference surfaces (28, 34) that abut each other. |
