The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a slide member with a coating film, which is capable of achieving a good balance between improvement of the lubricity of a coating film by means of the blending of a solid lubricant and improvement of the adhesion of the coating film to a base; and a method for forming a coating film. This purpose is achieved by: a method for forming a coating film, wherein a first coating film layer is formed by applying a composition (1) for slide members containing at least a binder resin and a solid lubricant onto a slide member, a second coating film layer is subsequently formed by applying a composition (2) for slide members containing at least a binder resin and a solid lubricant over the first coating film layer without drying the first coating film layer, and then the coating film layers are dried, thereby forming a coating film, said method for forming a coating film being characterized in that the blending ratio (X) of the solid lubricant in the composition (1) for slide members in the first coating film layer is within the range of 5-35 wt%, the blending ratio (Y) of the solid lubricant in the composition (2) for slide members in the second coating film layer is within the range of 35-65 wt%, and the sum (X + Y) of the blending ratios of the solid lubricants contained in the composition (1) for slide members and the composition (2) for slide members is 85 or less; and a slide member with a coating film, which is formed by this method. |
