The traditional manufacture of garment leather may be modified so that during the drumming process, which is normally performed in the traditional process, the drying process may be performed in a simultaneous manner with the purpose of reducing the manufacturing time and the investment in equipment and pieces that are dried by being hanged at open air. In the rainy season the problem is worse since the high relative humidity of the air increases the drying time from one day with low humidity to four days with high humidity. The inventive drying process allows the dry and drum process to be performed in a single mechanical operation, thus saving time, stock equipment and leather. |
