PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reading device capable of efficiently reading an RFID tag, and a program.SOLUTION: A reading device for reading information from an RFID tag attached to each of items, includes: a housing having an opening through which the items are taken in and out, and having a space therein for housing the items; an antenna provided in the space; an opening/closing lid for opening/closing the opening; acquisition means for acquiring the open/close state of the opening/closing lid; reading means for performing reading processing for reading information on the items housed in the housing from the RFID tag of each of the items through the antenna when the open/close state acquired by the acquisition means indicates the close state of the opening/closing lid; and output means for outputting the information read by the reading means. |
