摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional layer forming method for an organic light emission device in which when a functional layer is formed in each groove space by a wet method with respect to a bank-appended substrate having plural first banks formed to extend in one direction along the surface of a base substrate and plural second banks formed in respective groove spaces comparted by the first banks, occurrence of dispersion in film thickness of the functional layer between pixel areas can be suppressed.SOLUTION: In a process of forming a hole transport layer or a hole injection and transport layer 116, ink is jetted from a first nozzle head 221 to each groove space 125 while a head unit 220 having the first nozzle head 221 and a second nozzle head 222 is scanned in an X direction, and the second nozzle head 222 jets ink while passing above the groove space 125. The first nozzle head 221 selectively coats ink on the second bank 114 in each groove space 125, and the second nozzle head 222 coats ink in the whole of each groove space 125.
