This invention makes it possible to reliably obtain reciprocal movement from piston magnets and increases the continuity thereof, making it possible to obtain continuous rotary power. A rotary power generation device (100) has first and second piston magnet members (60, 61), first and second connecting rods (80, 81), a crankshaft (11), first and second guide members (50, 51), first and second fixed magnet members (70, 71), and first demagnetizing members (30, 130) each provided with a demagnetizing rotary plate (32, 132). The first and second piston magnet members (60, 61) and the first and second fixed magnet members (70, 71) are laid out such that upper pole faces (60a, 61a) and fixed pole faces (70a, 71a) that have the same polarity face each other. The rotary power generation device (100) also has an non-uniform repulsive force structure and an auxiliary electric motor (14a) that supplies power to the crankshaft so as to make the reciprocal motion of the piston magnets continuous. Each demagnetizing rotary plate (32, 132) comprises the following: a demagnetizing magnet section (38) that exhibits magnetism that is weaker than and of a different polarity from the corresponding upper pole face (60a, 61a); and a nonmagnetic section (39). |
