A backlight module and a liquid crystal display apparatus. The backlight module comprises a back plate (1), a light guide plate (2), a light source (3), a middle frame (4), and a quantum bar (5). The light guide plate (2) is disposed between the back plate (1) and the middle frame (4) and comprises a light entering side (21) and a light emitting side (22). The light entering side (21) is close to the light source (3) and is provided with a groove (211) whose opening faces the middle frame (4). The quantum bar (5) is accommodated in a cavity of the groove (211). One end of the quantum bar (5) abuts against the inner wall of the bottom of the groove (211). The middle frame (4) covers the light guide plate (2) and the light source (3). A first buffering block (6) abutting against the other end of the quantum bar (5) is disposed on the side of the middle frame (4) facing the back plate (1). The backlight module and the liquid crystal display apparatus can firmly fix a quantum dot material in the backlight module, and can be easily and quickly assembled. |
