The invention relates to a support for mobile communications devices which have an optical sensor, e.g. smart phones, tablet PCs and the like. The support consists of: a base plate (1) that can be positioned on a work surface; a receiving part (6, 10) for the communications device (8), said receiving part (6) being disposed above the base plate (1); and a spacing part that holds the receiving part (6, 10) and the base plate (1) at a variable distance and/or angle from each other, wherein the spacing part is pivotally connected to the base plate (1) and the receiving part (6, 10) in the respective vicinity of the outer edges of said base plate (1) and receiving part (6, 10), said outer edges running in parallel and above one another. According to the invention, the spacing part consists of two struts (4), each of said struts (4) being externally hinged in a pivotal manner to the end faces of the base plate (1) and the receiving part (6, 10) in the vicinity of the outer edges running in parallel and above one another, said end faces running perpendicularly to the outer edges. The length of the struts (4) is selected such that, when said struts (4) are positioned vertically, the clearance between the base plate (1) and the receiving part (6, 10) in the vicinity of the pivot axes (3, 5) is greater than the dimension of the receiving part (6, 10) that extends over all of the other parts, perpendicularly to the pivot axis (5) of said receiving part (6, 10). |
