The present invention relates to a washing machine comprising: a cylindrical unit; and at least one balancer disposed on the cylindrical unit, wherein the balancer comprises: a first balancer housing provided with a ring-shaped race having an open top; and a second balancer housing coupled to the first balancer housing so as to cover the open top thereof. The balancer is disposed inside the cylindrical unit, and the area in which the first balancer housing and the second balancer housing, matching the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical unit, are coupled is covered by the cylindrical unit, thus reinforcing the strength of the balancer thereby.
