PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a response speed to an access request.SOLUTION: An extraction unit 12 extracts a storage area composed of a plurality of contiguous unit storage areas, among unit storage areas A1-A6 per certain size in a first storage device 21, the storage areas having access frequencies that are greater than or equal to a prescribed frequency that is larger than 0 and being similar to a monitoring area at certain time intervals. When it is detected that the positions in the first storage device 21 of monitoring areas 21a, 21b of the same size among the extracted monitoring areas have moved along with the passage of time, a prediction unit 13 specifies a predicted storage area 21c for which access is predicted, from among the storage areas of the first storage device 21 on the basis of the direction of movement of the monitoring areas 21a, 21b. The prediction unit 13 exerts control so that the content of the predicted storage area 21c is copied to a second storage device 22 whose access speed is faster than that of the first storage device 21. |
