PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content distribution system for providing content by converting the content to a format which corresponds to a client terminal.SOLUTION: A content distribution server 110 in a content distribution system 100 comprises; function information acquisition means 114 for acquiring function information which describes functions of terminal devices 150a and 150b which require utilization of content; element extraction means 120 for extracting content elements included in the content whose utilization is required; comparison means 118 for determining available elements in the terminal device from the function information and comparing them with the extracted content elements to determine whether or not each of the content elements is available in the terminal device; output determination means 122 for determining whether or not the content needs to be decomposed in order to distribute available content elements which are required by the terminal device; and decomposition means 124 for decomposing the content into each content element when decomposition is necessary.
