There is provided a tilting mechanism. The tilting mechanism includes a drive source (5) configured to drive a plate (2), a movement unit (4n, 5n) connected to the drive source (5), a conveyance unit (4) configured to be moved linearly by the movement unit (4n, 5n), and a plate support member (3) to which the plate (2) is fixed and which is partially engaged with the conveyance unit (4) so that the plate support member (3) is moved by the conveyance unit (4). The plate (2) is moved linearly by linearly moving the conveyance unit (4) together with the plate support member (3). Tilting operation of the plate (2) is performed by tilting the plate support member (3), the tilting of the plate support member (3) being caused by pushing the plate support member (3) by the conveyance unit (4), which moves linearly in a state that the linear movement of the plate support member (3) is stopped. |
