A backlight module and a display device. The backlight module comprises: a first light source layer (20) located on a light exit side of the backlight module, a second light source layer (30) located on a side opposite to the light exit side of the backlight module, and an optical component (40) arranged between the first light source layer (20) and the second light source layer (30), wherein the first light source layer (20) comprises a plurality of first light source elements (21) arranged with intervals therebetween, the second light source layer (30) comprises second light source elements (31) arranged in one-to-one correspondence with the intervals between the adjacent first light source elements (21), and the optical component (40) enables the light emitted on the first light source elements (21) by the second light source elements (31) to exit through the intervals. Light can be provided for the display device by a single or double light source layers, so that the range within which the display brightness of the display device is adjustable is widened; meanwhile, light can be provided by a single light source layer in the case of the low brightness of the display device, the use time of the part of the light source elements is shortened and accordingly the service lives of the light source elements are prolonged; in addition, the utilization rate of light is also improved through the use of the optical component (40). |
