A hydraulic shovel (1) has an engine compartment (31) that accommodates an engine (7), a cooling fan (8), a hydraulic pump (9), and an exhaust gas aftertreatment device (10) provided above the hydraulic pump (9). Also provided in the engine compartment (31) are a tilt-up floor (6) that covers over the engine (7) and exhaust gas aftertreatment device (10), and a side cover (31A) that covers a side of the hydraulic pump (9) and exhaust gas aftertreatment device (10). A horizontal flow passage (21) that guides cooling air toward the hydraulic pump (9) is provided between the tilt-up floor (6)/a support plate and the engine (7)/the exhaust gas aftertreatment device (10). A vertical flow passage (22) that passes through the exhaust gas aftertreatment device (10) and then follows the side cover (31A) and heads below the vehicle body is further provided. An air shielding plate (40) that shields the vertical flow passage (22) is provided above the hydraulic pump (9). |
