The present invention provides an apparatus for making flake ice, used to continuously make a chunk of ice and flake ice such as snow by rapidly freezing water, making compact flake ice in comparison with a capacity of the apparatus while reducing the area where the apparatus is positioned, and increasing the amount of flake ice or producing various pieces of flake ice. The apparatus to make flake ice comprises: a driving source received in a case; a drum rotated by the driving source; a liquid tank receiving material supplied to the outer circumference of the drum; a cutter arranged on the outer circumference of the drum to cut out material frozen on the drum; and a refrigerant circulation part rapidly cooling the drum. The drum, the liquid tank, and the cutter are included in one group and are vertically arranged in at least two steps. |
