The present invention provides an information-processing device for reducing the frequency of interrupt notifications for notifying that execution of an input/output instruction is completed, and lightening an interrupt processing load. The present invention prescribes that a driver, after having issued an input/output instruction, must always confirm the completion state of a preceding input/output instruction. This means that input/output instruction issuance timing is considered to be the polling timing for confirming the completion state of the preceding input/output instruction. An input/output device sets a timer before transmitting an interrupt notification to the CPU and stands by for an interrupt notification time. A processing unit is added to the input/output device which, when a notification that a next input/output instruction was issued reaches the input/output device from the driver in the meantime, resets the timer and extends the standby time by an amount equal to a previous prescribed time. |
