The invention relates to a hinge (4) for furniture or domestic appliances comprising a side part (5) on which a hinge part (7) is pivotably mounted by means of at least one guide lever (8), a damping device being provided which has a rotatable actuating element (11) preloaded by means of a spring into a starting position. When the hinge (4) is closed, a first activation region (18) of the actuating element (11) is activated for damping the closing movement, the actuating element (11) having a second activation region (20) for damping the opening movement. In this way a door can be effectively damped in the closing and opening direction. |
