Provided are a method and an apparatus for selecting a synchronization signal in a wireless communication system supporting device to device (D2D) communications. The method for a terminal selecting the synchronization signal in the wireless communication system supporting the device to device (D2D) communications comprises the steps of: monitoring a D2D synchronization signal; comparing the intensity of a first synchronization signal found by the monitoring step with a first threshold; and, in the case that the intensity of the first synchronization signal is equal to or greater than the first threshold, stopping the monitoring and selecting the first synchronization signal to maintain the synchronization. |
