<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recombinant plasmid for removing another plasmid, having a high removal efficiency of Ti plasmid or Ri plasmid in the cells of Agrobacterium, and also less arriving at growth inhibition or cell death; a method for removing the plasmid; and a method for preparing the Agrobacterium cells used for genetic recombination by utilizing the recombinant plasmid for removing the other plasmid. <P>SOLUTION: This recombinant plasmid for removing the other plasmid comprises a replication gene showing incompatibility with a replication gene which wild type Agrobacterium cell has, a plasmid stabilization gene and susceptibility gene.
