The device (20) has a blank holder (23) clamping a blank between the holder and a counter-element (46), and a drive device (22) moving the holder along clamping direction (30) between a starting position and a clamping position. The drive device controls a force parameter when the holder reaches the clamping position, where the force parameter determines clamping force of the holder. The drive device controls a position parameter when the holder lies outside the clamping position, where the position parameter determines a position and/or change of the position of the holder. The force parameter is formed as moment of an electromotor of the drive device, and the position parameter is formed as a rotational position of the electromotor. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a tin body. |
