<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visible light response-type photocatalyst powder, which can obtain a good photocatalytic performance even in an everyday indoor condition and the like low in illuminance. <P>SOLUTION: The visible light response-type photocatalyst powder has a tungsten oxide powder or a tungsten oxide composite powder. In a gas concentration measured by causing a flow of an acetaldehyde gas of an initial concentration of 10 ppm at 140 mL/min into a flow-type apparatus containing 0.2 g of a sample, the gas concentration before light irradiation is represented by A, the gas concentration when being stabilized after an elapse of 15 minutes or more from the light irradiation is represented by B, and the value calculated on the basis of [formula:(A-B)/A×100] from the gas concentration A and the gas concentration B is defined as a gas decomposition rate(%). The visible light response-type photocatalyst powder has a gas decomposition rate of 5% or more when being irradiated with the visible light consisting only of light having wavelengths of 380 nm or more with an illuminance of 200 lx. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
