The encoder (110) has a modulator (134) arranged at a rotatable shaft and providing signals changed based on angle position of the shaft. A receiver (122) receives the signals, where the modulator and receiver are thermally insulated from each other by a thermally insulated separation layer (135) such that transmission of heats from the modulator to the receiver is hindered. A control electronics controls the receiver, and a cooling body stays in thermal contact with the electronics and/or a transmitter (121) and/or the receiver, where the transmitter is designed as a light source i.e. LED. An independent claim is also included for a drive system. |
