<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type spatial modulation element installation device which allows a reflection type spatial modulation element to be operated in a proper environment by incident light from a light source and heat of driving of the reflection type spatial modulation element. <P>SOLUTION: A reflection type spatial modulation element installation device 101 comprises a reflection type spatial modulation element 7, a base 9 to which the reflection type spatial modulation element 7 is fixed, and a flexible wire 11. The reflection type spatial modulation element 7 comprises a counter glass 12, a driving IC part 13, a liquid crystal 14, and a liquid crystal sealing member 15. A space surrounded with a sealant 18 in a gap between the driving IC part 13 and the base 9 is vacuumized. Because of this structure, a vacuum heat-insulating layer 17 is formed between the reflection type spatial modulation element 7 and the base 9, so that inflow of heat from the reflection type spatial modulation element 7 to the base 9 can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
