<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent engine oil from being attached to a cam chain. <P>SOLUTION: An engine 10 is configured as follows. Moving-valve chambers 22, 23 are defined by a top surface 15A of a cylinder head 15 and a head cover; a cam chain chamber 29 is formed which is adjacent to the moving valve chambers, and extends to a crankcase; and cam chain guides 34A, 34B are disposed along one surface of the cam chain 33 arranged in the cam chain chamber. An oil passage 45 is formed between the back surface 47 of the cam chain guide 34A opposite to the surface thereof in contact with the cam chain and the wall surface 48 of a cylinder and the cylinder head opposite to the back surface. On the top surface 15A of the cylinder head, partition walls 39, 40 are provided for partitioning the moving-valve chambers and the cam chain chamber; an opening 46 communicating with the oil passage 45 is formed; and further guiding passages 43, 44 are formed which guide the engine oil in the moving-valve chambers toward the opening 46 of the oil passage 45. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
