A method of manufacturing a liquid jet head includes: a through hole forming step S12 of forming through holes (84, 91, Fig.9) on a base plate (41, 81, Fig.3); an actuator plate bonding step of bonding first and second actuator plates (42, 82, Fig.3) on opposite sides in a thickness direction of the base plate at positions avoiding the through holes; and an electrode forming step S32 which includes a plating step of performing plating electrodes (71, 72, 80, Fig.7) on the bonded bodies of the base plates and the actuator plates. In the through hole forming step, the through holes are formed on the base plates during a boring step and subsequently the inner surfaces of the through holes are roughened S11. In the electrode forming step, second extraction electrodes (80, Fig.7) are routed to a principal surface 41a of the base plate through the through holes. The principal surface being the surface of the base plate on which the first actuator plate is bonded. Sandblasting may be used in the boring step and the base plate may be made of a glass material. |
