An electromagnetic radiation shield (8) for a mobile telephone (11), comprising a front portion (1) which is configured, in use, to substantially cover at least a front face of the mobile telephone (11) such that it is positioned between the mobile telephone (11) and a users head when the user is talking on the mobile telephone with the mobile telephone (11) held against their ear. The front portion (1) comprises a shielding layer (4), which may comprise a layer (5) of metallised material or metal alloy, and which may be sandwiched between an inner layer (16) and an outer layer (17). The front portion (1) may comprise a flap (10) which may be releasably secured in position covering a front face of a mobile telephone (11) through a fastener (15), such that the flap (10) may be closed when the user is talking on the mobile telephone (11). |
