<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator drive device capable of preventing failure of a circuit receiving voltage supply from a step-up circuit, even if the operation cycle of this time is started in a state where a step-up capacitor has been charged to an excessive voltage during the operation cycle of previous time. <P>SOLUTION: The actuator drive device includes an actuator drive circuit connected with an electromagnetic actuator, a step-up circuit which outputs an external power supply voltage to the actuator drive circuit while stepping up; a regeneration circuit which makes the step-up circuit regenerate a counter-electromotive current generated in the electromagnetic actuator; and a processor which drives the electromagnetic actuator by controlling the actuator drive circuit. Before starting control of the actuator drive circuit, the processor measures the output voltage of the step-up circuit while prohibiting step-up operation by the step-up circuit, allows step-up operation by the step-up circuit if the voltage measurement is lower than an upper limit, and performs discharge processing of a step-up capacitor provided in the step-up circuit if the voltage measurement is equal to or higher than the upper limit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
