The present invention relates to a distributed battery management system for managing multiple battery modules. The distributed battery management system comprises: multiple slave control units which are provided corresponding to multiple battery modules, have a daisy chain structure connected in series from the bottom to the top, transmit control information received from the outside in order from the top to the bottom, sense information for the battery modules in correspondence to the transmitted control information, respectively, transmit the sensed sensing information in order from the bottom to the top, and transmit the sensing information transmitted to the top, to the outside; and a master control unit which transmits the control information to the top slave control unit of the slave control units, and manages the battery module by using the sensing information received from the top slave control unit. According to the present invention, it is possible to reduce the number of components and hardware design burden by connecting the slave control units in the daisy chain manner. |
