<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image analyzing technique which characterizes an image by using similarity of mental impressions. <P>SOLUTION: An image analyzer 102 comprises: a color scheme classification unit 204 which acquires an image having a color scheme pattern stored in a database 104, classifies an impression given by colors into a representative impression word, and classifies the image into a category having the similar impression; a texture mapping unit 206 which defines mesh in the image and sub-mesh in the mesh, analyzes a contrast pattern of the sub-mesh, and performs mapping of the image by the contrast pattern; and a supplement image search unit 208 which searches the database 104 for an image having a color scheme pattern similar to the image classified by the impression word in a scale of color space, and can give the obtained image to the color scheme classification unit 204 to supplement respective impressions given by the colors of the scheme pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
