摘要 The present invention relates to a tray-driving type cable installation robot device, capable of automatically inducing the front part of a cable on a tray in large ship and marine construction fields, and a control method thereof. The tray-driving type cable installation robot device includes: a body cylinder which includes a dual rod head which moves backward and forward; a direction control unit which controls a movement direction of the body cylinder; a direction joint which is mounted between the direction control unit and the body cylinder, and guides the movement direction of the body cylinder; and a cable gripper which is connected to the direction control unit, and maintains the front part of a cable to be installed. Therefore, a worker can safely install a cable.
