<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, regarding an out-frame reinforcing method, that trouble such as noise, vibration or powder dust may occur with a construction when a post-construction anchor is used in a conventional out-frame reinforcing method. <P>SOLUTION: According to a reinforcing method using an out-frame for earthquake strengthening, indirect joint parts 2 in a clearance between a column/beam outer wall surface of an existent building and the out-frame are joined by a cotter hole 9 which is opened on the column/beam outer wall surface in a horizontal direction, a steel pipe cotter 3 of which a portion is fitted into the cotter hole and of which the remaining portion protrudes in the clearance, a stud 11 which is provided while protruding from the side of the out-frame to the clearance, and mortar 12 with which a space of the clearance is filled.
