<p>The element (7) has an annular filter body (10) made of a filter material, and two end plates (16, 17) arranged at axial ends of the filter body. A mask (19) is arranged radially outside of the filter body and extends axially along a part of the body in a circumferential direction, where air flows through the mask. The mask is attached at the end plates and formed by a lamella structure, a perforated wall structure, a sieve structure, a grid structure, a fleece or a fabric. The mask is designed as an adsorber element for adsorption of hydrocarbon. An independent claim is also included for an air filter comprising a housing.</p> |
