<p>Provided is an object information acquiring apparatus including: a holding plate which holds an object; a probe which detects an acoustic wave propagated from the inside of the object irradiated with measurement light and converts the acoustic wave into an electric signal; an image processor which generates an image inside the object from the electric signal; a photodetector which detects light reflected by a peripheral part as a region that does not come into contact with the holding plate in the object; and a discerning unit which discerns a contact state between the holding plate and the object using a detection result of the photodetector.</p> |
